Sympathy
Hello, I'm reading your blog since yesterday (I followed links from XKCD to www.ohmygauss.blogspot.com to your blog), and I can't say it leaves me unaffected.
I see myself as an half nihilist, half humanist person. I'm into sciences in general, and some parts of what you wrote found a resonance to things I felt myself. Sometimes I feel sorry for my lack of usefulness in helping other who need support but are out of reach. To counter that I try to help people close to me, but that's not why I felt I should express you my sympathy for you.
I know it may mean nothing because it's only words, but know that if it was possible for me to help you, I would gladly do, or at least try to. Why? Because I would like to be helped if I were in your situation.
Please, have a thought about this: take decisions carefully, but never have regrets, because time goes only one way.
People who cares about you may not care about what you think, say or write, they care about whether you will make decisions leading you to a life without regrets or not.
That was my very humble opinion, I don't think in terms of "true" or "false" when it's about human / emotional / subjective topics, so think of it whatever you want, just know that I'm looking forward to reading you in the future.
Bye ... Benjamin B. from France.
